Many thanks to Sara Beresford and the Odum School of Ecology for putting on such an amazing event! We can’t wait for next year!!!!

May 20th, 2009 admin No comments

Mofilms and Three Sixty Records are combining efforts to help raise money for future Mofilms projects by releasing the title song to the film ‘Justicia Now!’. The hope is to raise money from the sale of the songs on itunes, Rhapsody, Amazon and many other online music outlets around the world.

[Listen to the song here]

By purchasing the track Justicia Now, you will be supporting the making of solution-oriented documentaries that tackle important social and environmental issues that are rarely seen in the mainstream media, issues that affect us all. Our films are then made available, Free of Charge, as High Quality downloads on the web, and you can support this for just 99cents and you get a song too!

‘Justicia Now!’ is a recently completed documentary about ChevronTexaco’s toxic legacy in the Northern Ecuadorian region of the Amazon rainforest - and a courageous group of people called Los Afectados (The Affected Ones) who are seeking justice for the ensuing cancer, sickness and death in the largest environmental class action lawsuit in history. We just got some good news from our pals at Amazon Watch.

President Rafael Correa of Ecuador has just signed a decree which continues to support the historic proposals set forth to prevent the Yasuni National Park, an area of incredible biodiversity and a home to indigenous tribes, from being ravaged by oil exploration.

You can find out more about the effects of oil drilling in Ecuador, and this pioneer plan to keep the oil in the ground, by watching our documentary, Justicia Now!

COMING SOON: Return to the Wild

February 21st, 2009 admin No comments

Just want to let you all know that our latest documentary, Return to the Wild: A Modern Tale of Wolf & Man, is very near completion.

The film is about the de-listing of the gray wolf from the Endangered Species Act and the subsequent legal battle to prevent the killing of wolves around the Yellowstone National Park environs. The film looks at the affect the wolves have on the ranchers and residents in the area in the hope of finding a balanced solution that addresses the needs of ranchers, wildlife supporters, hunters and most importantly, the wolves themselves.

We’re finishing up our audio mix and color correction and hope to release it for FREE DOWNLOAD in the next few weeks. Watch this space for more information!
